Super 8 by Wyndham Port Arthur/Nederland Area

Nice place to stay. Our family enjoyed the pool, although the temperature was a bit hot even with the hot tub that was connected to it/ feeding it off.

New mattresses as of Nov 2025. The lobby was filled with new Beautyrest mattresses, and my room already had the new mattress installed. This is my 2nd time to stay in the "Proprietors Room" which is essentially a one bedroom apartment with full size kitchen and plenty of floor space. This was a huge surprise to find at this price point. I hesitate to even mention it, because it feels almost like a hidden gem (CZ, not diamond ). The fitness room is small, but sufficient with working cardio equipment. Small but sufficient could also be said of the breakfast options and indoor pool. Staff was friendly and check-in was fast. My 5 star rating is based on the value for the price point. Sure there's higher quality hotels with newer amenities mere steps away, but they also cost 30-70% more. In the "budget travel" sector, this is a reasonable accommodation.

Great experience overall. Big spacious rooms with large beds and sofa bed! Waffles were great! Only issue I had is covers were clean and white but one did have a stain of some kind of nail polish or wine, other then that definitely recommend!

Overall, this is a good hotel for the price. Lots of space in the room. Beds were nice with good mattresses and clean crisp bedsheets. Clean refrigerator. Large capacity dresser under the TV, coffee table and sitting table for breakfast/work. The bath tub was caved in and the shower rail was pulled out of the wall (wonder why). Ironing board had it's last breath in it and carpet had a damp smell. Indoor pool was super hot, but clean. I hope they will fix it. Working jacuzzi. Breakfast was good. Good spot to stay.

Check in was quick and easy. All the staff was nice and polite. Rooms were large and clean. Even had a dehumidifier in them witch in this area is amazing. Happy with the stay

Really enjoyed our stay! I've seen other reviews talking about the staff attire. They were in loungewear, but it didn't really bother me. If it were me, I would dress more professionally, but if this is their standard then whatever. They did look clean and put together. The room was clean and comfortable and the facilities were nice. That's my priority when staying away from home.

My only gripe is that the barrier between rooms is too thin and I dealt with a crazy amount of noise from the upstairs neighbor during my stay here, but that's also partially the neighbor's fault because it dragged on until 1AM. The amenities are actually impressive for a Super 8. I didn't swim, but the indoor pool looked nice and appears to be working, which is rare. Gym room seemed nice...vending worked great. There's laundry available, too. The king bed room for 1 person is gigantic for a reasonable price. There's a couch area, large bathroom, and desk area. There's actually a comical amount of space to move around this room. You'd never need all of it. I was surprised by how big it is. The king bed is also very big and comfortable. The rooms are also clean and I didn't have any issues with the staff. My deposit was refunded to me IMMEDIATELY both times. I have almost nothing but positive things to say about this location.

It's the best super 8 hotel I've ever been to! Impeccable rooms, very good breakfast, pool and gym all super clean. I recommend it a thousand times
